Double-extension, high density warehousing telescopic fork of the Ministry of Railways in Beijing

  • Customer introduction:

Beijing Railway Administration is one of the 18 Railway Administrations for large railway transport enterprises managed by China Railway Corporation, also called “Beijing Railway” or “Beijing Administration” in short. It is a super large state-owned enterprise mainly focusing on railway passenger and cargo transportation with lines governed distributing in “two-city and one-province” (Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei) and partial areas of Shandong, Henan and Shanxi provinces, being important hubs in the countrywide railway network and located on the pivot position of road net.

  • Customer demands:

EMUs carry logistics freight, and the high value-added freight increases the utilization rate of EMUs and high-speed trains. But, the dwell time of EMUs and high-speed trains is short, which requires the design of double-extension, heavy duty telescopic forks to improve the operation efficiency and quickly unload the goods, as well as to realize high-density storage.

  • APES FORK telescopic fork solution:

The design of double-extension telescopic forks enables a roadway to store four rows of pallets, greatly increasing the inventory density. By means of computer CAE finite element analysis, the reliability of the telescopic forks and the deflection requirements under full load for extra-long travel can be realized. It took only 45 days for APES FORK to complete the delivery of heavy-duty double-extension telescopic forks from design, production to assembly.
